The artist Manal Mhamid was born in the village of Muawiya in occupied Palestine in the year 1976.
She earned a master’s degree in fine arts from the University of Haifa in 2006 and currently lives and works in Haifa. Her pieces integrate between video, sculpture, photography and structural art.
Manal’s works debate societal topics such as identity, perspective, nature, and the relationship of man with his surroundings. They also discuss ideas such as returning to Palestine, human rights, resistance, injustice, violence, affiliation, etc hence highlighting the right to live liberally.
Her numerous works were shown at dozens of group exhibitions in Palestine, London, Chicago, Brussels and many others. She also participated in an art residency organized by the Delphina Foundation in Riwaq Biennale in 2007. Also, she participated in several individual exhibitions in Palestine and foreign countries.
Manal earned many awards including the excellence Award from the University of Haifa, an artistic residence in Gallery Art house Cairo, Egypt. She was also rewarded an art grant from Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan Foundation in Ramallah and an excellence grant from the College of Arts.
One of her most important art exhibitions (The Palestinian deer) in 2017 included a collection of artistic media such as sculptures, multimedia combinations, photography, video, print and drawing.

حاصلة على درجة الماجستير في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة حيفا عام 2006 . تعيش و تعمل حاليا في مدينة حيفا . تدمج في اعمالها بين الفيديو و النحت و التصوير الفوتوغرافي و الاعمال الانشائية
. و تتناول مواضيع مجتمعية مثل الهوية و المنظر و الطبيعة و علاقة الإنسان بمحيطه و حمله لفكرة العودة و الحق و المقاومة و الظلم و العنف و الهوية و الانتماء و غيرها . اعمالها تبرز الحق في الحياة .
عرضت اعمالها المتعددة الوسائط في عشرات المعارض الجماعية في فلسطين و لندن و شيكاغو و بروكسل و غيرها . كما شاركت في الاقامة الفنية التي نظمتها مؤسسة ديلفينا في بينالي رواق عام 2007 . اضافة الى معارض فردية في فلسطين و خارج الوطن .
حصلت على عدة جوائز منها .. جائزة التفوق من جامعة حيفا . اقامة فنية في غاليري ارتهاوس القاهرة ، مصر . منحة فنية من مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان . رام الله . منحة التميز من كلية الفنون
من اهم معارضها الفنية . معرض ( الغزال الفلسطيني ) عام 2017 . حيث شمل المعرض العديد من الوسائط الفنية مثل المنحوتات و التركيبات متعددة الوسائط ، التصوير ، الفيديو ارت و فن الطباعة و الرسم .
